Table-Top venjing í dag í sambandi við komandi boring hjá Statoil í Føroyum, nevnd Brugdan II.
MRCC/Tórshavnradio luttók í dag í Table-Top (skriviborðs) venjing, sum Statoil skipaði fyri í sambandi við teirra komandi boring á føroyska landgrunninum. Venjingin tók støði í eini hending, har tað var eldur umborð á boripallinum COSL Pioneer við 110 fólkum umborð. Venjingin, sum gekk gott og var lærurík, verður nú eftirmett. Niðanfyri er hendingin lýst á enskum máli.

Scenario: MRCC/Tórshavnradio today at 09:11 local time received information about an incident on board the oil rig COSL Pioneer located in Faroese waters appr. 90 nm southeast of the Faroe Islands. A fire had occured on board the oil rig which resulted in 4 injured persons. The injured persons were flown by helicopter to hospitals in the Faroe Islands and Scotland. There were a total of 110 persons on board the oil rig when the incident occured and 39 of these persons were evacuated to the nearby oil rig named “Schiehallion.” The fire was extinguished and the situation on board the oil rig brought under control.
MRCC/Tórshavnradio had the coordinating leadership of the incident and handled the incident in close cooperation with Statoil, RCC/Aberdeen, police and other relevant authorities.
