The smaller vessel ( 29 feet long) sunk a few minuts after the collision. 1 person onboard was rescued be the other vessel, but with some injuries. Rescue boat Ziska moved the injured person to Fuglafjørð where an ambulance waited to take him to the hospital .

Particulars Fishing vessel oddny c/s xprm with 3 pob transmitted a DSC distress at 1758 utc. The reason for the distress signal was a serious leakage in the engine room. The closest ship Ametyst c/s ow 2383 picked up the 3 pob and sailed them to Klaksvík, later in the night F/V Oddny sunk.

Particulars At approximately 1500 hours UTC MRCC Torshavn was informed by MRCC Shetland that a sick crew member onboard the M/T Mayfair had to be evacuated. The vessel's position was about 80 nm due east of the Faroe Islands. Hence the SAR helicopter was contacted. Rescue SR was airborne at 1540, on scene at 1620, the crew member evacuated at 1630, and the patient delivered to the hospital in Torshavn at 1720 for further threatment.

Particulars At 0005 hours TR lost Radio contact with the leisure craft "I am Second" underway to the Faroes. A few minutes earlier the boat had stated that they were in big waves and were seeking shelter and suddenly all radio contact was lost. This caused some concern, hence the faroese rescue helicopter was ordered to the position to investigate. Approximately 1 hour later contact was made with the boat again, and the helicopter ordered back to base.
